One cosplay takes her one to two months. She reads the reference art until she knows it by heart, then tracks down the wig, the costume and the props one piece at a time, and keeps trying things until they match the character. She does her own makeup on shoot day — if it comes out wrong she washes it off and starts again. The shoot isn't the end of it either: there are a few hundred frames to pick through and grade, and nothing goes out until that's done.

She's built up a wardrobe of wigs. Mostly she pulls from Mushoku Tensei, To LOVE-Ru and Diabolik Lovers — she's done Roxy Migurdia twice and still wants another go at her. Also Asuna, Maomao, Kurumi Tokisaki, Elaina, and a few from Wuthering Waves.

Midnight, China time, every night — four or five hours of it. Talking, singing, keeping people company on the way home from work. Her room is small enough that she knows the regulars by name, and she'll ask where you've been if you miss a few nights.

She works the convention circuit in Chongqing too, standing on her feet all day, and comes home to edit. She's slow at getting photos back to people, and she says so, but she always does.
